The Challenge
A global sportswear brand is consolidating its Greater China operations into a new 18-floor headquarters in Shanghai. This is a workplace built to express a brand, and almost every space in it touches AV: the brief runs from the lobby to the roof garden, through executive floors, broadcast studios and a showroom.
The technology had to serve two very different audiences at once. Staff needed reliable, consistent meeting tools across hundreds of everyday rooms. The brand needed showcase moments: spaces where product, content and storytelling come together for retail partners, media and government visitors. And it all had to be designed as one estate that a single in-house team can operate and support.
Our Approach
PTS is the AV design consultant for the headquarters, engaged from initial assessment and design through to implementation, with delivery running to completion in 2026.
The everyday estate comes first: standard meeting rooms across the working floors, plus executive offices at MD, VP and SVP level, designed to a tiered standard so that capability steps up with the room without changing how it is used.
Above that sits the specialist layer, where the design effort concentrates. A town hall venue for company-wide gatherings. Studios for content production. A digital war room for live commercial data. A government meeting room designed for formal protocol, alongside the boardroom and a product showroom where AV carries the brand story directly.
Then there is everything between the rooms: lobby and reception experiences, cafe, canteen and gym AV, the roof garden, and open-space digital signage threaded through all 18 floors so communication reaches people wherever they are. Designing these layers together, rather than room by room, keeps the experience coherent and the underlying infrastructure common.
The Outcome
The project is in delivery, with PTS carrying the design through implementation to keep intent intact on site. When the doors open, the brand will have a headquarters where a casual catch-up, a livestreamed product launch and a government delegation are all served by one coherent AV estate, designed once, specified clearly and built to be operated by the team who inherit it.
